Had a very fruitful day!
This morning, my Father promised to take my Mom to Maragondon to visit an old church and also as thanksgiving for my sister's working "career". But it was cancelled because the car was broken. They decided to commute and go to Kawit church instead with Jeg.
My Father used to be the cook every Sunday, but today, he asked me or rather assigned me to do the "cooking".
I decided to cook ginataang manok with a little modification. I added paprika, papaya and dahon ng sili. And of course my Mama was very curious again always looking to what I'm doing and can't help herself to suggest things that can make my cooking better. An unsolicited advise but she's the expert anyway! (and I must add very difficult to be disobeyed!).
Papi (that's how I call my Dad!) laughed upon seeing my finished little cooking experiment. He said it looks like tinolang manok with coco milk added. :( But upon tasting it, he was pleased. And I mean the whole family were pleased! He he he. Ako pa!
In the afternoon, after the car was fixed, we decided to take a drive and go somewhere. With the long argument of who will drive, I finally agreed to do it. Honestly, (my Dad does not know this, ssshhh!) I love driving but when my father is with me ...omg! It's a non-stop, long playing, mind blowing driving argument! But I love the moment though. Father-Daughter moment. So, the argument continued until we got to our destination. After our prayer, we stayed for a while at the plaza. Sit on the grass and have a relaxing conversation together.
When we got home, I felt better because of the time I spent with my family. All of us where there, just having a little chit chats, laughing, sharing thoughts and ideas. Nothing else is more relaxing to me. Spending time with God first and then with my family. Today, I realized just how blessed Iam.
I will not let my work and my other worries consume my whole being again... I just realized that spending quality time with God, my family and my friends is the most relaxing and most fulfilling days of my life.
